The Duchess of Sussex revived As Ever last year, building on the success she once found with her blog, The Tig. However, some critics argue that her online presence now feels overly polished and cautious.
A branding expert told Ok! Magazine, “Within the industry, there’s a growing opinion that Meghan’s social media suffers from a major flaw: in trying to maintain a perfectly curated, controlled image, she has unintentionally distanced the very audience she wants to engage.”
Critics say that this level of polish diminishes the natural charm and spontaneity that once made her relatable. Another source added that while Meghan still has a chance to elevate her brand, it depends on letting more of her authentic personality shine through. Currently, the approach is “on the verge of blandness.”
“There is definitely room for success, but it relies on showing the real Meghan—the side audiences can genuinely connect with,” the insider explained.
The source emphasized, “Right now, the image she projects feels too manufactured, which limits its impact. This disconnect can make her seem inauthentic, even if that’s not the intention. It’s less about who she is and more about how she presents herself, which currently comes across as distant from what people perceive as real and relatable.”
