Meghan Markle appears ready to make a major impression in Australia as she and Prince Harry prepare to touch down later this month.
According to reports, the couple—who are scheduled to visit Australia within days—are not just planning a short stay. Insiders reveal they are seriously considering purchasing a home and establishing the country as their “second base.”
Sources speaking to Heat World claim, “There have even been discussions about investing in a property and treating Australia as a second home. They have no plans to leave the U.S. permanently, but it’s clear they’ve become increasingly frustrated with Hollywood.”
A close friend of the couple added that the idea of having a place to escape to is extremely “appealing,” noting that it also makes strong business sense, as it is difficult to expand their brand while operating from afar.
With rising pressures in the U.S. and no visible progress toward mending ties with the Royal Family in the U.K., Meghan and Harry are giving serious thought to putting down new roots overseas.
Reports also suggest they want a home in Australia specifically to strengthen their long-term presence there.
Previously, In Touch Weekly shared that Meghan plans to make a major splash during their upcoming trip. Insiders say she believes she can become Australia’s new “Queen of Hearts.”
She has reportedly already secured several trademarks in preparation for launching new products—a move she is said to be “very excited” about.
One insider explains, “It’s widely known that many Australians aren’t huge supporters of the royal family. Meghan sees this as an opportunity—believing the country will welcome her and Harry far more warmly than people do in the U.K.”
