Meghan Markle is reportedly taking extra care to avoid stirring up fresh tensions with the Royal Family — including shelving any plans for a personal memoir.
According to insiders, the Duchess of Sussex has decided to step away from anything that could be seen as controversial and is instead putting her energy into developing her lifestyle brand. This shift, sources say, is part of an effort to maintain peace and remain respectful of royal expectations.
One source explained, “Meghan and Harry are extremely careful about what they say and the projects they take on because they want to honor the standards of the monarchy. A memoir simply isn’t something they’re interested in pursuing right now.”
The insider added that people who partner with the couple often have to work within certain limitations. “They try hard not to create problems for the royals. Anyone collaborating with them knows there are boundaries, and sometimes that affects the creative direction. Meghan and Harry insist on creative control and final approval — but there are things they just can’t publicly discuss.”
Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020 with Meghan and their son, Prince Archie. After their exit, the couple openly claimed that members of the Royal Family had treated them unfairly and even raised concerns about racism. Now living in California, the pair have continued building their independent careers while raising Archie and their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
