According to a royal commentator, the Prince and Princess of Wales do not rely on a sense of entitlement or excessive privilege in how they carry out their responsibilities. Instead, they are said to focus on maintaining discipline, consistency, and dedication in their royal duties.
The couple, who have also faced public scrutiny in connection with Prince Andrew’s past association with Jeffrey Epstein, are believed to prefer working quietly behind the scenes while supporting the institution.
Royal expert Russell Myers told Marie Claire that Princess Kate has invested significant time in understanding the monarchy and its importance to the public. He explained that her development within the royal role has been gradual, shaped over more than a decade of learning how the institution functions and how she and Prince William hope to guide its future direction.
He further noted that individuals who become associated with misconduct often face criticism related to privilege or entitlement. However, he emphasized that such perceptions do not apply to William and Catherine, suggesting that there is little to no evidence of such behavior in their case.
Myers also highlighted that the couple’s calm and understated way of working sets them apart. He described their approach as grounded and accountable, both to those within their immediate circle and to the wider public they represent.
