He argued that the Duchess of Sussex has gained greater global recognition, increased financial opportunities, and a stronger public profile through the marriage.
According to Rafe, the balance within the relationship appears uneven, saying that one person has received far more advantages from the union than the other. He described the marriage as a “huge success” for Meghan, particularly when it comes to her celebrity status, business ventures, and overall influence.
At the same time, the commentator suggested that Prince Harry has experienced the opposite outcome. He claimed the Duke’s reputation, popularity, and relationship with both the monarchy and the British public have suffered in recent years.
Rafe also stated that Harry’s decision to build a permanent life in the United States has limited his role and sense of purpose. He argued that the prince’s past experience as a royal, military figure, and polo player does not easily translate into a meaningful public role in California.
