Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has shared a warm personal message following the conclusion of her two-day official trip to Italy.
Wrapping up her visit on Thursday in Reggio Emilia, the future Queen of Britain took to the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales to post a message accompanied by touching photographs showing her interacting with children.
In her message, Kate reflected on her experience, writing:
“Over the past two days in Reggio Emilia, I have seen first hand the power of nature and creativity that put human connection at the centre of a child’s world.”
She went on to express her gratitude, adding:
“I have had such a deeply moving and unforgettable time here. Thank you to the people of Reggio Emilia for welcoming me into a culture of care with such warmth and generosity.”
Concluding her statement, the Princess highlighted the importance of early childhood development, saying:
“Our collective work in early childhood must be to protect and nurture the connections that form the foundations of life-long wellbeing.”
She ended her message with “Grazie di cuore,” meaning “thank you with all my heart,” signing off with her initial “C” for Catherine.
The visit to Italy was focused on exploring innovative early childhood education approaches and strengthening the global reach of her charitable work.
Notably, this two-day tour, held from May 13 to May 14, marked Kate’s first official overseas engagement since her cancer diagnosis and her recovery journey in 2024.
