Reports suggest that Meghan holds a special role in the child’s life as his godmother. In an image shared online, she appears smiling warmly, dressed in a neutral-toned, high-neck beige coat, with her hair neatly styled in a low bun. Sources also indicate that her husband, Prince Harry, was not with her during the visit.
According to People magazine, individuals familiar with the situation confirmed the trip and stated that Meghan has since returned to her home in Montecito, California, where she lives with her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
A source further noted that Meghan attended the church service early and spent time among families and friends from her university days. She studied at Northwestern University in Illinois starting in 1999, focusing on theatre and international studies.
During her time there, she also completed an internship at the U.S. embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, an opportunity reportedly supported through family connections involving her father, Thomas Markle, and his brother, Mike. At one stage, this experience is believed to have fueled her interest in a diplomatic career.
However, her early ambitions in public service did not materialize after she did not achieve a high enough score on a competitive exam for the U.S. State Department. According to Finding Freedom by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, this setback was particularly disappointing for her and impacted her confidence, as she had not experienced academic failure before.
Following this period, Meghan returned to Northwestern University and completed her degree, graduating with a double major in theatre and international studies from the School of Communication.
The reported trip comes just days before her son, Prince Archie, celebrates his seventh birthday on May 6, which is expected to be a private family occasion in California.
