A former Palace communications aide has claimed that Prince Harry has faced ongoing difficulties in finding a strong sense of purpose since stepping away from royal duties.
During a recent television discussion, former royal press secretary Dickie Arbiter suggested that Harry’s current public identity is now largely centered around the Invictus Games Foundation, the sporting event he founded for wounded and injured veterans.
Arbiter also argued that leaving military life may have been one of the biggest turning points in Harry’s life, suggesting the Duke lost an important source of structure and direction after departing from the British Army.
According to reports cited by The Express, Arbiter questioned Harry’s achievements since leaving the royal family, claiming his public contributions outside of the Invictus Games have been limited. He pointed out that the international sporting competition only takes place every two years, leaving gaps in Harry’s public role and visibility.
The former spokesman also shared controversial comments regarding Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle, claiming the couple’s relationship has appeared strained for quite some time. He alleged that Harry’s life and image have significantly changed since the marriage, sparking further debate among royal commentators.
