The source also suggested that removing visible connections to Harry and Meghan could make the property more appealing for future royal occupants and help close a controversial chapter in its history, effectively returning it to its pre-Sussex state.
A royal commentator has now weighed in on the situation, claiming that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “furious” about the developments. Royal expert Tom Sykes, referencing individuals close to the couple, stated that the couple strongly oppose how recent events surrounding Frogmore Cottage have unfolded.
He further suggested that their formal eviction from the property in 2023 would not have taken place during Queen Elizabeth II’s lifetime. According to Sykes, sources close to Harry and Meghan believe the late Queen would have prevented such a move, as Frogmore Cottage was originally given to them as a wedding gift.
