According to British reports, the monarch wants to make another gesture of goodwill towards his youngest son, offering him accommodation at the Palace during his stay in the country.
Although the Duke of Sussex usually stays in hotels or with relatives of the Spencer family, this particular proposal is seen by many as an attempt to normalize relations between father and son.

A Daily Express poll found that the vast majority of respondents said that King Charles should not allow Harry to stay at Buckingham Palace.
Of more than 5,400 voters, most said no, while only a small percentage were in favor of hosting him.
The comments on the poll were not without sharp opinions. Some argued that Harry's stay at the Palace would ensure greater security and better control of the situation, while others sent the message that he should respect the rules of the royal residence, warning that he "should not cross the line".
At the same time, there were also more conciliatory voices, who expressed the hope that the king's initiative could be another step towards restoring family relations.
It is not yet known whether Prince Harry has accepted the invitation, nor whether he will travel to Britain with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
