Meghan Markle's appearance on MasterChef Australia reportedly failed to impress behind the scenes, with new claims emerging just hours after the episode aired.
Although much of the initial attention centered on the now-viral "royalty" remark—which was later dismissed by some as a rehearsed moment—a production insider has now shared fresh allegations with the Naughty But Nice Substack.
Speaking to celebrity gossip columnist and former publicist Rob Shuter, the insider claimed that the atmosphere on set became increasingly difficult as filming progressed.
"By the end of the day, everyone was just praying for the taping to be over," the source alleged.
The insider added that while many viewers focused on the "royalty" comment, it was "the least of the crew's concerns."
For those unfamiliar with the moment, the controversy began when one of the judges referred to Meghan as "royalty" during filming, prompting a reaction from the Duchess. The exchange quickly spread across social media, with critics accusing her of displaying a double standard.
Another alleged production source went even further, claiming Meghan "carried herself like she was Julia Roberts arriving to shoot a blockbuster."
According to the source, "This is MasterChef Australia. The team has worked with award winners, world-famous chefs, and global stars. They've never experienced anything quite like this."
Rob Shuter also cited another alleged insider, who claimed there was "an audible sigh of relief" once filming wrapped.
"People couldn't wait for the day to be over. Even now, mentioning her name around the production office makes some crew members tense up," the source alleged.
These claims have not been independently verified, and Meghan Markle or her representatives have not publicly responded to the allegations.
