Kate Middleton's Bridal Makeup – All the Details Revealed Years Later
Behind the bride's iconic bridal look, there was a specialized team of professionals who worked closely with her.

One of the most talked-about rumors that have been circulating for years about Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding in 2011 seems to be untrue. Bobbi Brown herself, through a recent interview, sets things straight.

The famous makeup artist and founder of the eponymous beauty company, speaking on the Breaking Beauty podcast on the occasion of her new book, referred, among other things, to Kate's makeup on the day of the royal wedding.

Although many publications claimed that the princess did her own makeup, after private lessons, Bobbi Brown put things in their place: Hannah Martin, a member of her team, was in charge of the look.

“I didn’t do the makeup, as much as I would have liked,” Bobbi Brown said. “It was Hannah Martin, one of my makeup artists, who is now very well-known in Britain, who did it.”

Hannah, according to her, had excitedly informed her on the wedding day, sending her a message shortly before the big moment. Despite the success of Kate’s appearance that day, Bobbi Brown explained that her company never asked for public recognition for the makeup, as “it wouldn’t have been right” at the time.

The makeup artist also shared that she has kept a thank-you note from the princess’s entourage, which proved how pleased Kate was with the result of her appearance.

Behind Kate Middleton’s flawless appearance on her wedding day to Prince William, there was a team of experts who took care of all the details. For her hair, Kate trusted hairstylists James Pryce and Richard Ward of the renowned Richard Ward salon in London. Her hairstyle combined elegance and naturalness: light wavy curls with half-up hair, a look that highlighted her timeless elegance.

As Richard Ward previously mentioned, Kate had a say and participation in every decision regarding her appearance. “It was important to her that the bridal look reflected her personal taste, so we sought the perfect balance between natural and formal.”
