According to expert estimates, Meghan Markle's wedding dress cost the not inconsiderable sum of 115,000 euros. It was designed by the British head of Givenchy, Clare Waight Keller, who last year became the first woman to take over the reins of the legendary house. Her five-meter veil, also created by Clare Waight Keller, was decorated with 53 flowers, symbolizing the countries of the Commonwealth.
The diamond tiara that supported her veil dates back to 1932 and belongs to Queen Mary. Queen Elizabeth lent it to Meghan especially for her wedding day. The Duchess of Sussex completed her bridal look with earrings and a bracelet by Cartier. Her silk satin heels were also by Givenchy. Her wedding ring is made of Welsh gold, a royal tradition that Prince Harry broke, opting for a platinum wedding ring. Her makeup was done by her good friend and Dior makeup artist Daniel Martin, whom she met in 2011 on the set of Suits (she didn't do her own makeup, as was initially rumored, probably because her bride, Kate Middleton, chose to do her own makeup for her own wedding in 2011), while her hair was done by hairstylist Serge Normant.
