Prince Harry, less than two months after his recent trip to the United Kingdom, is expected to return, in September, according to British media reports.
In fact, in view of the Duke of Sussex's new trip, King Charles made a generous gesture towards his youngest son. According to a report in the Sun, the British monarch is giving Prince Harry a room in Buckingham Palace to stay during his new visit.
This is the second time that King Charles has suggested that Harry stay at Buckingham Palace, having done so during the Duke of Sussex's recent trip in early July. In the end, however, Prince Harry did not stay at Buckingham Palace because he had not officially responded to the Palace within the time limit he had been given.
Harry's increased UK visits worry William
According to the Daily Mail and royal author Richard Fitzwilliams, Prince William is concerned about his younger brother Harry's increasing visits to the UK. The Prince of Wales fears that his younger brother could "overshadow in the media the valuable work the monarchy does".
Royal correspondent Richard Fitzwilliams, speaking to the Daily Mail, stressed that while King Charles may be keen to reconnect with his youngest son Harry and grandchildren Archie and Lilibet, Prince William remains more cautious about such visits.
"William respects his father's approach but is concerned about the impact of Harry's future visits to the UK. They are likely to overshadow the valuable work the monarchy does in the media," royal correspondent Richard Fitzwilliams said.
Harry's private meeting with his father, King Charles
In early July, after four years, King Charles met his son Prince Harry, his daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle and his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Under extreme secrecy, King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted Prince Harry with his wife, Meghan, and their two children at their private country home, Highgrove House, in Gloucestershire. The royal mansion is considered King Charles's personal retreat.
The international media spoke of a rare family reunion, considering that King Charles' last meeting with his grandchildren before this was in 2022, when Prince Archie was 3 years old and Princess Lilibet was just 1 year old. It had also been a long time since the king had last seen his youngest son, Harry. Father and son had met in September 2025 for a private tea.
Buckingham Palace had refused to give further details about Charles and Camilla's meeting with the Sussexes, which was described as "private and family".
