Prince William's reign is predicted to be difficult: 'Harry and Meghan will not be the only problem'

Prince William's future is predicted to be difficult according to royal analyst

New scenarios for the future of the British monarchy are causing debate, as a royal analyst estimates that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be one of the biggest challenges to Prince William's future reign.

According to royal expert Mark Dolan, the Sussex couple may continue to be at the center of developments, even when Prince William ascends to the throne.

Harry and Meghan, who have been living in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have stepped back from royal duties since their decision to step down as working members of the royal family in 2020.

However, their public statements and revelations about palace life have kept their relationship with the monarchy in the spotlight.

The move could complicate the future of William's reign

Speaking on The Royalist podcast, Mark Dolan argued that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could create a "rival royal court" in the UK if they decided to spend more time in the country.

As he said, he considers it possible that the couple will seek a greater presence in Britain, which, according to his assessment, could cause new tensions with the palace.

He argued that such a development could make the future period of the reign of William and his wife, Princess of Wales, Kate, more difficult.

At the same time, he estimated that any tensions would not be limited to the current generation, but could also affect the relationships between the two brothers' children.

According to Dolan, Archie and Lilibet, when they grow up, could find themselves at the center of a new dynamic within the royal family, in relation to William and Catherine's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry has been through intense trials in recent years, with the rift between the two brothers considered one of the greatest crises the modern British monarchy has faced. Despite occasional attempts to reach a rapprochement, their differences remain deep.

As the prospect of succession gradually approaches, interest in the role of Harry and Meghan in the new era of the monarchy remains intense. For now, however, the estimates of a possible "rival court" are commentators' scenarios and not official moves on the part of the Sussexes.
