Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made their first public appearance together in the U.K. since returning, with the couple spotted enjoying a relaxed pub date in the Cotswolds.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were photographed walking together and holding hands as they made their way to The Falkland Arms pub in Great Tew. Their low-key outing quickly attracted attention because it was the first time the couple had been pictured together publicly in Britain since their latest return.
Meghan kept her look casual in a black sweater and sneakers, while Harry opted for a baseball cap and relaxed clothing. Their understated appearance gave the outing a noticeably informal feel as they spent time away from the spotlight.
According to reports, the couple enjoyed traditional British pub food during their lunch date. Their choice of a local Cotswolds pub also offered a glimpse of the quieter lifestyle they are settling into following their return to the U.K.
Their hand-holding moment has particularly caught attention, with the photographs showing the couple appearing comfortable and close during the outing. The appearance also comes as their family adjusts to life back in Britain.
Harry and Meghan relocated to California in 2020 after stepping back from their roles as working members of the Royal Family. Since then, their connection with the U.K. has remained a major point of public interest, particularly whenever they return for events or private family occasions.
Their latest move has brought a new chapter to that story. Their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are now also part of the family's life in the U.K., making the couple's recent public appearances especially notable.
While Prince Harry has continued making appearances connected with causes and charitable work, Meghan has maintained a comparatively quieter public presence while focusing on her family and lifestyle projects.
The pub outing therefore offered a rare glimpse of the pair simply spending time together away from formal engagements. Rather than appearing at a major event, Meghan and Harry were seen enjoying an ordinary lunch in the English countryside.
The photographs from their Cotswolds date are likely to generate continued interest as the Sussexes settle into their latest period of life in Britain. Their relaxed appearance provides another public snapshot of the couple as they balance family life, personal projects and their ongoing connection with the U.K.
