Meghan Markle Stuns With $148 Advent Calendar Inspired by Montecito

Meghan Markle has unveiled a new $148 Advent calendar through her As Ever lifestyle brand, and the festive product carries a striking connection to the California home she recently left behind.

The limited-edition Advent calendar was launched on October 1 in collaboration with Los Angeles chocolatier Compartés. It contains 24 handcrafted chocolates designed to be enjoyed throughout the countdown to Christmas.

What has attracted particular attention is the inspiration behind the packaging. The design draws from Meghan and Prince Harry's Montecito home and garden, bringing elements of their California lifestyle into the holiday product.

The launch comes shortly after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to Britain with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. According to reports, the family relocated to the UK in August after spending several years based in California.

Despite the move, the Sussexes have not sold their Montecito property. This has made the connection between Meghan's latest product and the California estate particularly notable, especially as the family adjusts to life back in Britain.

The $148 Advent calendar features 24 chocolates with flavors connected to favorites associated with As Ever, including strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and orange marmalade. One of the chocolates is also finished with Meghan's signature Flower Sprinkles.

Each numbered chocolate reportedly adds another personalized detail to the design. The countdown numbers were hand-painted using edible gold luster and were created to resemble Meghan's own handwriting.

The product was developed with Compartés creative director Jonathan Grahm. Meghan previously worked with the Los Angeles chocolatier on As Ever chocolate products, making the Advent calendar the latest chapter in their collaboration.

Meghan also gave followers a glimpse into the development process. Promotional footage showed her working with Grahm on the festive project, with early sketches and design elements offering a behind-the-scenes look at how the calendar was created.

The calendar's California-inspired appearance gives it a distinctly personal connection to Meghan's former base. Reports describe illustrations featuring elements associated with the Montecito property, including its garden, palm trees and the Sussexes' chickens.

The timing of the release has also sparked interest. Meghan is now spending time in Britain after years of living in the United States, yet her latest commercial launch keeps part of that California chapter at the center of her holiday branding.

The Sussexes purchased their Montecito mansion for $14.7 million in 2020 after leaving their senior royal roles and moving to California. The property subsequently became closely associated with their new life outside the working monarchy.

For Meghan, the Advent calendar therefore combines a seasonal product launch with imagery connected to a significant period of her family's life. The $148 price tag also places the limited-edition calendar firmly in the premium gifting category.

With 24 handcrafted chocolates, personalized design details and artwork inspired by the Montecito garden, the product offers customers a physical reminder of the California lifestyle that has remained an important part of Meghan and Harry's public story.
