WHY DID MEGHAN MARKLE REDESIGN THEIR ENGAGEMENT RING?
Meghan Markle redesigned her engagement ring and wore it for the first time at Archie Harrison's presentation. But it was at Trooping de Color that we noticed it.
Meghan Markle made her first appearance after becoming a mother at the highly anticipated Trooping de Color festival that celebrates Queen Elizabeth II's birthday each year. Along with Prince Harry, the Duchess wore a navy blue dress signed by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. However, what stole our attention was seeing her wear the eternity ring for the first time, which her husband traditionally gifted her as a symbol of commitment and undying love following their first marriage anniversary and the birth of Archie Harrison.
Given the excitement of the moment, we overlooked one of the most important details. Photographs of the celebration revealed the Duchess's decision to redesign her engagement ring after undergoing the natural changes caused by pregnancy. Although, let us remember that the Duchess chose not to use the ring for her last events prior to the birth of her firstborn. And although we did not notice the radical change in Archie's presentation, Markle was already wearing the redesign.
The Duchess had the opportunity to add her special touch thanks to the acclaimed jewelery firm, Fenton & Co., which replaced the gold band that supported two diamonds from the Lady Di collection and one from Botswana in the center, for a classic — and thinner — pave band.
Regarding the jewel, Meghan commented that it was special to know that Harry's mother was included in a meaningful way. In addition, we know that the couple's first trip was to the African country, where they supported the work of Doctor Mike Chase to save the elephants and took the opportunity to celebrate the birthday of the now royal.
“Everything about Harry's consideration of the ring and the inclusion of Princess Diana through diamonds, since I didn't get a chance to meet her, it was very important to me to know that she is part of us. It is very special for me to have the opportunity to wear this ring and it was important to my husband that he had a link with Botswana.
