Why didn't Meghan Markle share a balcony with the Queen and Kate Middleton on Remembrance Day?
To commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War, the Duchess of Cambridge and Cornwall shared a balcony with Queen Elizabeth II in her role as future consorts
As every year, this Sunday morning the British royal family gathered to celebrate the armistice that ended the First World War. Wearing with honor the poppies that represent the flowers that sprouted from the devastated fields of Flanders, we saw Queen Elizabeth II, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex gathered for the first time since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced that they are expecting their first child.
Dressed all in black, to pay tribute to the fallen in this warlike conflict, members of the royal family honored the memory of those who fought in this war. As happened last night at the Festival of Remembrance, the wives of Princes William and Harry stole the camera. In the first place, for being Meghan Markle's debut in a commemorative act and, second, for the fact that the Duchess of Sussex did not share a balcony with Queen Elizabeth II and the Duchesses of Cambridge and Cornwall.
The detail of seeing Camila Parker and Kate Middleton with the Queens made everyone wonder, where is Meghan Markle? It turns out that Prince Harry's wife appeared on another balcony next to the German President's wife, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Meghan probably could have shared a balcony with Kate Middleton; However, the Duchess of Cambridge took the place, along with the Queen, in the absence of the Duke of Edinburgh, who has been withdrawn from public events since August 2017.
Both the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cornwall occupied that place as future consorts, hence Meghan was unable to appear with them. While their wives watched the ceremony from the balconies, Princes Carlos, William and Harry participated in the tribute that, for the first time, was attended by the German president.
