According to what was established in August as part of the divorce agreement, Depp will therefore have to pay Heard 7 million dollars: he will remain with the collection of vintage cars and motorcycles, while she has been entrusted with the custody of the two dogs. Specifically, the actor will remain several real estate properties between Los Angeles and Paris, in addition to his private island in the Bahamas. The young actress will instead take care of the two Yorkshire terriers Pistol and Boo, who were at the center of a scandal when their owners did not report them to the Australian authorities during a trip.
Heard, who filed for divorce last May, has said in the past that she will donate her ex-husband's money to charity. In the same month, a court ordered Depp to stay away from his wife, after she said she had been attacked by him several times. Allegations that Depp has always denied, eventually getting them dropped. "All Amber wanted was a divorce and she got it. It's a great day for her," her attorney Pierce O'Donnell told the media.
Depp and Heard met on the set of The Rum Diary in 2011 and married in early 2015 in Los Angeles.
