Johnny Depp loses a lawsuit against his ex-wife and Warner takes the role of Grindelwald from him

Los Angeles, Nov 6 - Johnny Depp has long been involved in a lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard, who accuses him of violence and abuse. The matter is hazy and unclear, given that Depp himself would have provided evidence of violence committed against him and other "fake" by his beautiful ex-wife. However, the American actor lost a lawsuit against the British tabloid The Sun and for this reason Warner Bros "dumped him". Result? He will no longer be Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them saga.

Depp: "Warner Bros has asked for my resignation"

Depp himself broke the news on his Instagram profile with a short statement. The decision, by the actor's own admission, comes immediately after the defeat in court, in London, where Depp had sued The Sun for defamation because the famous British tabloid had called him "a wife thug" talking about the accusations brought against him by the ex-wife, actress Amber Heard.

"I will appeal"

“I would like to let you know that I was requested by Warner Bros. to resign from the role of Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts. I complied with this request and agreed, ”Depp writes on his profile, not before thanking anyone who expressed solidarity and closeness to him. Depp in the statement also confirms that he wants to continue the legal battle against his wife by appealing to the English court against the sentence that "clears" the Sun for the insulting definition it has reserved for him.

The lawsuit is still at stake in the US

Depp filed another lawsuit, for which he asked for $ 50 million in compensation, again against the charges of his ex-wife, and he did so in the United States. Depp, remember, took on the role of Grindelwald in the first two Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them films. In the third film, closely linked to the Harry Potter saga, Depp will be replaced by some other actor, to the detriment of the narrative coherence of the script.
