Meghan Markle's legal team explains that the royal family denied her the chance to defend herself from attacks by British tabloids when she was pregnant

New details have surfaced about the feud between Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and the rest of the royal family.

According to some court documents filed in court over the Duchess of Sussex's ongoing battle against a British tabloid, Meghan Markle felt "unprotected" by the English royal family during her pregnancy with her son Archie, at which time she had been taken more than targeted by national and international newspapers.

According to rumors, these legal documents describe Meghan as "pregnant, unprotected by the institution and unable to defend herself."

For "the Institution" the English law refers, in fact, to the royal family.

"Meghan Markle's rights have been violated"

It seems that the legal team supporting Meghan Markle has also blamed Kensington Palace for not allowing her to defend herself from the press, instead answering the ever-numerous questions from reporters with "no comment".

"The firm position of no comment was taken by the Kensington Palace public relations team without any discussion or approval from the applicant (aka Meghan), as is standard practice for royal communications," the Duchess's spokesperson would explain in legal documents .

This would have deprived Meghan Markle of having her say and defend herself from the continuous attacks of the tabloids.

The documents examined are part of an ongoing lawsuit by Harry and Meghan against Associated Papers, the British publisher that publishes the Mail Online.

The lawsuit specifically focuses on the tabloid's breach of privacy following the publication of a private letter sent by the Duchess to her father, Thomas Markle, and published in The Mail on Sunday in October 2018.

As stated on the documents, it is a "private and confidential" letter that Meghan Markle sent to her father three months after her marriage to Prince Harry.

'The Duchess's rights have been violated; the legal boundaries on privacy have been crossed - the documents cite - Throughout this process, the way in which the Mail Online has used distorted, manipulative and dishonest tactics to target the Duchess of Sussex has been exposed.
