The mystery of Meghan Markle's engagement ring
If a few weeks ago it was announced that Prince Harry had given Meghan Markle a new ring for their first wedding anniversary, now it is the Duchess of Sussex's engagement ring that has given much to talk about. In quite a feat of an eagle gaze it has been noticed that Meghan changed the earring of the jewel. Although she has not had public appearances recently for her maternity leave, it seems that the change occurred before the birth of her baby Archie, since in the presentation of her first-born she was already wearing the modified version.
It should be remembered that Meghan's engagement ring was made with a large diamond brought from Botswana, a land that is very close to the hearts of the Dukes, and surrounded by two pieces taken from a Princess Diana bracelet. It was Prince Harry herself who designed the piece and who wanted it to have a special meaning for her wife, so much so that the ring was made in yellow gold because it was Meghan's favorite. But apparently, after a year of marriage, the Duchess wanted to make some changes to the jewel and it was precisely the ring that suffered the alteration.
Now the ring appears to have a much thinner band and instead of this in solid gold, it now has a mini diamond encrusted design. Although at first glance it seemed that the thin band came in a braid and hence the perceived texture, in other images it could be seen that it is small diamonds that make up the band, giving more shine to the ring that already had a price invaluable.
But why the change? Jewelers consulted by international media assure that it is a trend in the United States to use thinner bands so that the diamonds in the setting look much larger and more striking. Another theory is that this change has allowed Meghan to wear the infinity ring that Harry gave him on their anniversary, joining three different rings on the same finger.
