Jennifer Lawrence marries Cooke Maroney surrounded by Hollywood stars
Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper, Adele, Sienna Miller and Kris Jenner were among the 150 guests who attended the celebration, which lasted beyond five in the morning
They wanted secrecy and they have succeeded. Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney were married on Saturday in a marriage held in a large 19th-century mansion in Rhode Island (about three hours from New York) surrounded by friends and colleagues.
The bride wore a creation by the French house Dior, of which she is the image. However, some dark and distant images have barely transcended, where she is seen with a gathered up and a dress with a closed neck and long sleeves with beaded details, accompanied by her now husband, he in a tuxedo with a bow tie.
Despite her youth, Lawrence has an established niche in the film industry. At 29 years old, she has been nominated for an Oscar four times, achieving it once (in 2013 for The Good Side of Things). In Hollywood she has also created a good gang of friends, including Emma Stone - one of her most intimate and who was seen arriving at the link in a long green velvet dress and a matching cape coat - and also the actresses Sienna Miller, Cameron Diaz or the comedian Amy Schumer. There was also Bradley Cooper, with whom Lawrence has shot a handful of films, director David O. Russell, designer Ashley Olsen and British singer Adele.
Among the other 150 guests at the link were Kris Jenner, the mother of the Kardashian sisters, who missed the celebration of Kim's 39th birthday by attending Lawrence and Maroney's wedding, which she arrived in a long black dress with rhinestones. They all dined on grilled fish and beef with sweet potato cakes, according to the US media. According to People magazine, late at night a couple of sandwich and hamburger vans parked in front of the mansion where the wedding was being held to serve the dinner. And the British newspaper Daily Mail says that the party lasted until half past five in the morning while the guests danced to classic songs by Aretha Franklin or Whitney Houston.

That mansion is a large house located in Newport, Rhode Island, an area where wealthy families on the east coast of the US vacationed in the 18th and 19th centuries. This 3,700-square-meter house called Belcourt was abandoned at the end of from the 1990s and now belongs to the businesswoman Carolyn Rafaelian, founder and director of the Alex and Ani jewelry brand, who bought it for 3.2 million euros in 2012 and who dedicated more than 900,000 euros to its restoration. Since 2018 it has been open to the public and for events. She decided to "clean" her vibrations: "There were not very pleasant energies and entities".
Lawrence and Maroney, a renowned gallery owner who runs a gallery on New York's Upper East Side, got engaged in February, when they had been dating for about a year. In the summer of 2018 they were seen together in Rome and Paris, and at various movie premieres. Last February they got engaged and in May they gave, with friends and family, a great engagement party. In September, suspicions of a possible civil wedding grew, because several witnesses saw them loaded with documentation and accompanied by a renowned photographer in a civil registry in New York.
