Curiously, it is the most representative of North American fashion

Throughout his electoral career and in the months that he has been in office, President Donald Trump has attracted attention in many aspects: for being racist, misogynist, for his more than debatable political ideas and for his continuous provocations. Few are the areas in which the Republican goes unnoticed and one of them is precisely that of style.

The President's contribution to fashion begins and ends with the controversial “Make America Great Again” caps that he handed out at his inauguration to his supporters. Coincidentally, the label of those caps could read "Made in China", but that is a separate issue. Trump's wardrobe is simple, not cheap, and the suits associated with the business sharks of the 80s (for example, himself) are the star garment.

Gone are the costumes carefully worn by Barack Obama and the impeccable style of him during his tenure. Particularly striking was the image left by President Trump on Monday when he entered the White House lawn for the traditional children's festival "Easter Egg Run."

Unlike the former Democratic president, who donned dark jeans and a blue-and-white plaid shirt in 2016, the Republican donned the same suit again. Up to here everything would be normal. But putting that aside, we've come to realize one more important thing: Trump never wears jeans.

The Washington Post has reviewed all photographic archives of him and claimed that there is no visual evidence that Mr. Trump has worn jeans in the past two decades. But Obama has not been the only president of the United States who has worn this very American garment. Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton often wore jeans.

Trump's butler assured BuzzFeed that he owned a pair but that he used them exclusively for his ski trips “to the West. "You will never see him in a T-shirt and jeans, he will always wear a suit." Contrary to the rest of the Americans - several studies affirm that 96% of the Americans use them - Trump does not seem at all interested in a garment. The reasons are only known to him.
