His former adviser Jason Miller, already his communications director in 2016, and then in 2020 coordinator of relations between the campaign and the White House, assured the (conservative) American channel Fox News: "Trump is working to return with a his social network within two or three months at the most ".
A crucial move, according to Miller: "It will redefine the political game. Everyone will be able to hear and follow him and this time it will be on his platform." In short: no one will be able to silence him.
Apparently, the former president has already talked to several companies, but there are no details on his plan, let alone what kind of project he is working on. The challenge is to recover the over 100 million followers he had before. But it might not be that easy.
Hosting services such as Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, could in fact refuse to host a potentially risky platform on their systems: just as happened with the social media loved by the American far-right Parler.
For sure, since Trump is no longer on social media, statistics show that disinformation in America has collapsed. As much as 73%, at least as regards the false allegations of electoral fraud directed by The Donald to President Joe Biden.
