Angelina Jolie explains why she left Brad Pitt
In a new interview, Angelina Jolie made rare confidences about her breakup with Brad Pitt.
Angelina Jolie is everywhere. As the coronavirus pandemic continues to ravage the world, especially in the poorest countries, the American actress and activist continues to give voice to the causes close to her heart. In a new interview published on June 19, 2020 by “Vogue India”, the 45-year-old star spoke of his work with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees before answering a more personal question: his break with Brad Pitt.
It will already be four years in September since the Brangelina broke up. They met in 2004 on the set of the movie “Mr. and Mrs. Smith ”, before formalizing their love at first sight the following year. After adopting Maddox (18), Pax (16) and Zahara (15) together, then giving birth to Shiloh (14), Knox and Vivienne (12 in July), Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are married in August 2014 in their French property, at the Château de Miraval. A union that lasted two years before the shocking news of their separation, caused by a family dispute that took place in a private plane.
"Some took advantage of my silence ..."
If she spoke very little on this subject, Angelina Jolie explained to "Vogue India" why she had made the decision to leave the father of her children. “I separated for the well-being of my family. It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their recovery. Some have taken advantage of my silence, and children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth. In fact, they are six very brave and very strong young people, ”she said.
Angelina Jolie obviously did not provide more details about the "lies" mentioned. Since his breakup with the 56-year-old actor, many rumors have been raised in the press, including the disagreement and dogged relationship of Brad Pitt with their two older sons, Maddox and Pax. The road to reaching a custody deal has also been slow and arduous for the ex-couple, who have since found common ground.
