Meghan and Harry’s tribute to Prince Philip is not unanimous
Many find it too cold, inappropriate, or downright shocking.
Buckingham Palace announced on Friday April 9 the death of Prince Philip at the age of 99. Since then, tributes around the world have multiplied. Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry, grandson of the Duke of Edinburgh, also wanted to send a message to Prince Philip. To do this, they chose to post a short text on the Archewell website, their charity. “In memory of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, 1921-2021. Thank you for your dedication… You will be sorely missed ”, can we read, reports RTL.
Heavily criticized since their withdrawal from the British royal family, Meghan and Harry have once again been singled out for not being unanimous in their message. Indeed, on Twitter, many internet users found the couple's tribute inappropriate. For them, this tribute is clearly too cold, dark, without empathy or emotion, impersonal, callous. Others even call it "shocking." Geez, whatever they do, Meghan and Harry seem to be drawing the public ’wrath.
