Meghan Markle the big absent: how she will (anyway) attend the funeral of Prince Philip
For Meghan Markle, it's rest! While the mother-to-be will not attend Prince Philip's funeral on Saturday April 17 in Windsor, she will be present at the ceremony in her own way.
Connected funerals… so 2021! At seven months pregnant, Meghan Markle is unable to fly to attend Prince Philip's funeral on Saturday, April 17. But that doesn't mean she won't participate. British newspaper The Sun revealed that "arrangements have been made" for Prince Harry's wife to follow the ceremony from their Los Angeles home. She will therefore be able to "attend" Prince Philip's funeral thanks to a live stream set up for the occasion. She also confirmed making her own arrangements to pay tribute to her husband's grandfather.
His absence could ultimately be beneficial. She should ease the turmoil caused by the former princely couple after their shocking interview with talk show queen Oprah Winfrey. If they feel it necessary to shine a light on the problems they have encountered, the timing seems unfortunate to them. It was indeed broadcast a few days before the death of Prince Philip.
Meghan Markle: Without remorse or regrets
While tensions still hang over the royal family after Meghan and Harry's revelations, The Sun reports that the Queen has no animosity towards the American actress and her absence at Prince Philip's funeral. A source said that she "has expressed her condolences and that the Queen understands why she cannot travel". The most important thing for the Royal Family of England is that Harry is present at his grandfather's funeral!
