Prince Philip's funeral: Meghan Markle did everything possible to return with Harry
Meghan Markle will not be present at Prince Philip's funeral, it's official. Doctors have not approved his travel to the UK for medical reasons.
The verdict is in. Meghan Markle will not be alongside Prince Harry for the funeral of Prince Philip, who died this Friday, April 9, at the age of 99. Little Archie's mother was refused permission to board a plane to travel to the UK with her husband. Despite his determination to come to the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral, doctors preferred to refuse travel on medical grounds, Mirror reports. For good reason, the delivery of the Duchess of Sussex is scheduled for this summer.
Her husband, Prince Harry will therefore go alone in St-George's Chapel, at Windsor Castle to attend his grandfather's funeral which takes place on Saturday, April 17, in a small committee. Prince William's brother met with his cousins Beatrice and Eugenie of York, but also Prince Charles to prepare for his arrival from the United States, where he now resides with his wife.
An expected return
Prince Harry had not returned to his homeland since leaving Buckingham Palace a year ago. Meanwhile, the media unpacking of Meghan Markle and her husband facing Oprah Winfrey on CBS has not helped her relations with members of royalty. Prince William, angry with his younger brother, accuses him of putting his notoriety before the royal family. For months the relationship between the two brothers has not been looking good. A month after the famous explosive interview, the return of Prince Harry is under scrutiny. This return, will it be under the sign of reconciliation or the settlement of scores?
