Prince Philip's funeral: princes William and Harry get closer at the end of the ceremony

Scrambled for several months, Princes William and Harry got closer to each other after the funeral of their grandfather Prince Philip.

Will Prince Philip's death bring Princes William and Harry closer together? Scrambled for several months especially because of the interview given to Oprah Winfrey by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the two sons of Prince Charles made a reconciliation at the end of their grandfather's funeral on Saturday, April 17. While Elizabeth II did not want them to parade behind the Duke of Edinburgh's coffin together, they finally reached Windsor Castle together on foot, including Kate Middleton.

It is quite naturally that the two brothers got closer at the exit of Saint-George's Chapel in Windsor, before Prince Harry came to stand next to Prince William, while exchanging a few words with Kate Middleton. A very emotional moment, as this rapprochement reminds us how much these three were inseparable before the marriage of the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle. After which, the Duke of Sussex walked away from the Cambridge couple to focus on their new royal obligations with his wife.

Princes Harry and William did not walk together at the funeral

This rapprochement was probably one of the most anticipated moments of this ceremony, as it was the first time Prince Harry had returned to the United Kingdom since moving to the United States with Meghan Markle and their son Archie. Remained in Los Angeles because of her pregnancy, the Duchess was unable to attend the funeral of Prince Philip. It is therefore alone that the Duke of Sussex made the trip, while he reserved his first visit to his cousin, Princess Eugenie, to whom he is very close, in particular to meet his first child, August. After which, he surely visited his grandmother, before placing himself as it should be in the procession which accompanied the coffin of Prince Philip to Saint George's Chapel.
