Brad Pitt's divorce: Angelina Jolie wants their children to testify at the bar, the judge refuses
Angelina Jolie said that the judge in charge of the custody of her children in her divorce from her ex-husband Brad Pitt had "refused to hear the minor teenagers testify in front of the bar and express their wishes concerning the fate of their custody", claiming that she was denied "a fair trial" in this case.
The 45-year-old actress submitted documents to the California Second District Court of Appeals on Monday in an attempt to disqualify Judge John Ouderkirk from ruling on the case, the AP reported on Tuesday.
In court documents, lawyers for the evil actress said the judge "did not sufficiently consider ... comments about their experiences, needs or wishes," which is in violation of '' a state legal code that allows minors between the ages of 14 and 17 to testify.
Jolie and Pitt, 57, are parents of six children, five of whom are minors: Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.
Angelina Jolie's legal team told the appeals court the judge neglected to let her submit evidence to the court that speaks to the safety and well-being of minors.
