Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin expose their relationship on a Facebook reality show
The couple has recorded 12 chapters about his life. In the first they talk about their fears of resuming their relationship that they broke up in 2016
Justin Bieber is enjoying starring in reality shows. Last January he released the documentary Justin Bieber: Seasons, in which you can see the process of recording his latest album, Changes, and where he revealed that his drug addiction began when he was 13 years old. He has been so open to his fans lately that the singer has decided together with his wife, the model Hailey Baldwin, to take advantage of the confinement due to the coronavirus crisis to speak publicly about their relationship through a program they have titled The Biebers. "We are very excited and we welcome you to our home in this quarantine to offer you an intimate look at our lives," said the couple in a promotional video that they have spread through their social networks.
With GoPro cameras, the artist and actor Alec Baldwin's niece have recorded 12 episodes that will be posted on Facebook Watch every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for four weeks. At the moment they have already broadcast two episodes of almost 10 minutes each. In the first, Lake Day with the Biebers, the two take a boat ride on a lake near their home in Toronto, Canada, and discuss the positives and negatives of marriage. . For Bieber, 26, one of the most gratifying elements of their relationship is being by the side of the loved one "for better or for worse, in illness and in health" and he has taken the opportunity to thank Baldwin for his support when he suffered depression and Lyme disease: “You did great for me. You were there when I was really fighting. Right now I feel like I'm in the best place I've ever been ”.
The singer also recognizes that marriage means progress for him and has seen that he still has to work on many aspects of his life: “Things of forgiveness, things of jealousy, insecurities that I didn't even realize I had until I decided to spend my life with you. I realized that there were blind spots that I did not know ”. For her part, 23-year-old Baldwin appreciated the company: “Obviously, you are my best friend. I think that's the best reward, you get a best friend to do everything ”.
But the mannequin also remembered the difficult moments and how both have worked to improve their relationship. They met in 2009 and started dating in 2015, but within a few months they broke up and resumed their courtship in the summer of 2018. When they get to this point in the conversation, Bieber asks his wife: “How did you regain that trust and Faith in me?". To which she responds: “One very important thing is that when we finished, and not in good manners, I was basically alone. I didn't run off to start another relationship or jump into someone's arms. I did other things to try to distract myself and forget, such as talking to people or going out with friends, but I did not look for someone to replace you to start a relationship that would fill that void in that sense. I really allowed myself to feel the emotions that I was feeling. It is a duel when you feel that you have lost someone you really love and that you care ”.
During that period that they lived apart, the artist was reunited with singer Selena Gomez, his previous partner, and also dated model Sofia Richie for a time. Meanwhile, the mannequin was still watching Bieber: “I just remember that I cared so much about you that I thought: 'I don't even care if he is in my life in a romantic way. I care about him so much that I want us to be in each other's lives. " To which she adds that the separation was also something positive for both of them: “It was the best. We had time to do our thing. I felt that I found my balance in my career, alone, as an adult ”.
Shortly before getting back together, Baldwin and her friends found that the singer had matured quite a bit during that period. "They were really impressed with the way you were living your life and trying to support yourself," the model explains. They dated again all summer and got engaged in the Bahamas in July 2018. Four months later, they secretly married. in New York (USA) and walked down the altar again last September, this time with a religious ceremony in a luxurious complex in South Carolina (USA) before their family and friends.
For the past few years, Bieber has been cut off from public life, especially for health reasons. Times that have been marked especially by depression, as he himself has told his followers on more than one occasion. Already in March 2016 the singer announced that he could not continue with his tour, that he was unable to finish his concerts because he was exhausted. "I will cancel all encounters with fans ... I want people to be happy and smile, but not at the cost of always being left with a feeling of being mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of feeling depression," he said at the time, adding that "The pressure of meeting the expectations of so many people" placed an impossible weight to bear on his then tired shoulders.
In February of last year, sources close to the interpreter told how he was receiving professional help and taking medication to overcome that depression. “I found myself doing things that I am ashamed of. He was very promiscuous and stuff. And I think I used Xanax [a drug that is prescribed to treat anxiety] ”, he related to Vogue magazine. "I got really depressed on the tour," he recalls. “I have not talked about this, and I am still processing many things that I have not counted. I was alone. I needed some time ”.
