Trump's office: a reflection of his personality?

A few days after his inauguration as president of the United States, Donald Trump shows us his favorite place: a completely messy office. What does this chaos reveal about his personality?

If he will rule America the same way he commands his desk, good gracious to us! What a great chaos! But with Donald Trump, the 45th president of the most powerful country in the world, one can never be too sure: he loves the unconventional. Apparently, he did not think it was necessary to fix his office a bit before receiving the head of the largest German newspaper, whom he gave an interview.

His office in Trump Tower allows us to peek into the heart and soul of this controversial personality. The saying "Show me your room and I'll tell you who you are" suddenly takes on new meaning. Thanks to the newspaper Bild, Donald Trump showed us his workplace, from where he manages billions, stylizes his past and prepares for his new job in the White House.

We don't know what a psychologist would say about his office image. Therefore, we will try to analyze it ourselves. That image, which millions of people can see today in the Bild, is - depending on the point of view - one thing or the opposite. Stacks of books, open drawers, paintings and sculptures, as well as a telephone that seems to date from the time of Ronald Reagan in the 80s of the last century.

And if we look closely, we can also discover an open drawer under the desk. Or is it a wooden box? Anyway, it's full of rolls of paper. In addition, we will find a common and ordinary scissors with an orange plastic handle. The office of the future president looks a lot like a workshop. And this despite the fact that Trump claims to be an orderly person.

Flirting with your own mediocrity?

On the 26th floor of his building, the president-elect of the United States presents us with a reflection of normality. The man, who already had a bad boy reputation before entering the White House, shows us his inner child: a rifle that hangs on the wall, a miniature sailboat, private photos (not all of him, but mostly) , a boomerang. Other than that, books and mountains of paper at least 12 inches high. Also, diplomas, cups and folders. All piled up. There is no doubt: this man is just like you and me. A chaotic person, then.

However, maybe this is all just a hoax and we have fallen for it. Perhaps the opposite is true. It is also possible that the man with the yellow-blond hairstyle, who is only held in place by a powerful hairspray, simply knows how to style himself perfectly.

His narrow office, the sheets, notebooks and books, which are apparently scattered everywhere in no order: is it just a publicity stunt? It may well be. Many rich people, who have everything, would prefer nothing more than a narrow room filled with personal devotional items from their own past. Here sentimentality and melancholy flourish.

Be that as it may, after all those indecent speeches, the permanent casting of his family and the spectacular –in every sense– first press conference of the future president, we finally know that place where all his ideas, plans and campaigns arose. . His desk in the Oval Office will probably look different. That is required by the position, and there will also have more room. But will he manage to leave his inner child and his collection of football helmets at home?
