Prince Harry-Meghan Markle interview with Oprah considered treason

One of Queen Elizabeth II's staff said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah was a form of betrayal. The interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex rocked Buckingham Palace, and left many disappointed. In fact, the Queen had to wait up to two days before finally releasing a statement via Buckingham Palace.

Speaking to the Sunday Times, the unidentified Queen Elizabeth II staffer called the couple's actions "treasonous". Another source said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's statement was a form of disloyalty to the British Empire. For them, an interview with Oprah Winfrey will provide a breath of fresh air for republican supporters around the world.

Last week in her statement, the Queen said she was saddened by Harry-Meghan's comments released on March 7 in the US. Even so, the 94-year-old monarch said he would investigate the truth of the claims. Moreover, related to Harry-Meghan's accusations there are comments that Archie's skin color, their son, is feared "darker".

"A real threat" "Obviously it's a real threat, if you try to stem the Harry-Meghan narrative they're going to make more accusations," a Buckingham source said. Reported by The Sun Sunday (14/3/2021), the interview reportedly made Harry's father and brother, Prince Charles and Prince William, hurt. Even so, Prince Charles who is the Crown Prince of the United Kingdom is trying to improve relations with his youngest son. The Prince of Wales is said to be trying to contact the 36-year-old prince in the next few weeks.

Previously, the Duke of Sussex claimed he was hurt that his father had stopped contacting him. A friend of Prince Charles told the Mail on Sunday that the ex-husband of the late Princess Diana was disappointed by his son's statement. "But after much deliberation, he realized there was no point in continuing to fight back," the source explained. The friend said Camilla, Prince Charles' wife, saw her husband hurt so much but was trying to mend the relationship. Other reports also say the Prince of Wales gave hundreds of thousands of pounds to the Sussex couple last year.
