Ronaldo withdraws Coca-Cola bottles at press conference and the company loses billions of value on the stock
After setting aside the Coca-Cola bottles, the 36-year-old soccer star held up a bottle of water and made a clearly audible call to drink this.
Cristiano Ronaldo does not appear to be a fan of carbonated soft drinks after the Portugal captain removed two bottles of Coca-Cola that he had in front of him at the Euro 2020 press conference, encouraging people to drink water instead.
The 36-year-old pushed the cola bottles away as he sat down to speak to the media ahead of the first Group F game against Hungary on Tuesday. He then held up a bottle of water before shouting in Portuguese: "Water!".

Coca-Cola loses billions of stock market value
According to media, the incident would have caused the beverage giant to lose billions of value on the stock market. After the soccer star recalled the Coca-Cola bottles, the company's share price plummeted 1.6%. In addition, the market value of the sponsor of the Eurocup was reduced by 4,000 million dollars, to 238,000 million.
France's midfield star Paul Pogba did something similar by making a bottle of beer from sponsor Heineken disappear at the press conference following Tuesday's 1-0 loss to Germany.
