The hijacked video of the pope refusing to take Trump's hand
For his first visit, Wednesday, May 24, to the Vatican, Donald Trump met Pope Francis. The sequence was picked up and hijacked by Jimmy Kimmel's American talk show.
US President Donald Trump has promised Pope Francis to fight famine but this is not what social networks remembered from their meeting. A video had been looping since Wednesday with a detail that would not have gone unnoticed by the cameras.

It is in fact a cut made for the show of Jimmy Kimmel. In the diverted sequence (see at 1 min 37), we see Donald Trump tickling the Pope's hand during the photo shoot so that the latter gives him his hand. Instead, the US president is given a swatter on the top of his hand. Donald Trump, stoic, continues to wear a broad smile while the Pope keeps a closed face.
