When Elizabeth II played the mediator to ease tensions between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle

In his latest book, An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle, Tom Quinn has made new revelations about the relationship between the Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex. A few months ago, Elizabeth II had indeed played the mediator between the two young women

They did not always get along so well ... If for their last official outing, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle had been accomplices, they have come a long way! Indeed, Elizabeth II had even had to play the mediator in order to ease the tensions between the wives of her grandsons, Princes William and Harry. In an interview with the British site Daily Star, royal author Tom Quinn claims that the Queen was taken from Buckingham Palace to Kensington Palace to "try to stop the quarrels" between the two young women. This is not the first time that these arguments have made the headlines. Indeed, the latter have been the subject of many books.

In his latest book, An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle, Tom Quinn reveals: "At first the couples got along well - William and Harry were always close - but inevitably there was tension." As a close source explained: "William and Harry have always been likely to be attracted to confident and strong women because they lost their mothers early on." Before adding: "Kate was very warm to Meghan when she arrived. But tensions were to arise because Meghan inevitably had to accept that although she was a Duchess, she would not be married to the next King." The source continued: "I think she found it difficult to manage and although Harry loved their cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace Meghan and aware that it was tiny compared to the sprawling apartment complex where Kate and William live. Harry has nothing to prove. Meghan has everything to prove. That's the problem. "

The tensions, would they come from William and Harry?

If other sources suggest that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton simply have "nothing in common", the authors of the biography Finding Freedom, Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie assure that the problem would come from Princes William and Harry and not from their wives. If the press saw "the duchesses in a duel", it would actually seem that it was Prince Harry who wished to distance himself after feeling suffocated by his brother.
