Angelina Jolie desperate to sell a French vineyard to the house she shared with ex Brad Pitt
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have found something else to fight over as the actress tries to sell the former couple's Miraval Chateau winery in France.
The couple have been battling over child custody and other issues since Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016, and now she hopes to sue Pitt over the sale of their wine business Nouvel, LLC.
She claims her attempts to sell her half of the property and business to Brad have failed, and now she wants to sell them to a third party.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Angelina explains that she is not allowed to enter into a deal to sell marital property without the consent of her ex-husband.
Jolie and Pitt bought the estate in 2011, before getting married, held their nuptials in a chapel on the grounds, and still own equal shares of the property and her wine business.
Angelina has reportedly "traded many offers" for a sale to Brad over the past two years, but they have failed to strike a deal, and now her lawyers are asking California lawmakers to allow her to offload her part in French society.
“After all these years trying to get out of being business partners with her ex-husband on acceptable financial terms, Ms. Jolie is extremely keen to make the current deal for the sale of (her half of the estate) ”, The file reads.
His urgent request to sell Miraval Castle has already been denied, and now a lawsuit is underway if the former couple cannot agree on a way to end the cellar deadlock.
