Henry of England returns to California without spending his birthday with Elizabeth II
The prince decided to return home after the meeting he had with his father, Carlos de Inglaterra, and his brother Guillermo
Enrique from England is already back in the United States without waiting for the birthday of his grandmother, the queen, who turns 95 this Wednesday. Elizabeth II, the world's longest reigning monarch, will spend the day at Windsor Castle, largely alone, surrounded by her tiny bubble of staff from the pandemic. This measure, apparently, led Enrique to make the decision to return home a couple of days after the funeral of his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, held last Saturday. Prince Charles will also miss the Queen's birthday, as he is in her Welsh home of hers. Nor is Prince William expected to visit her on her big day. Elizabeth II is still in mourning but on Friday she will go back to work.
She has transpired that, after the ceremony in the Chapel of San Jorge, small steps were taken between Carlos of England and his children to try to bring positions closer. The three met at Windsor Castle for two hours, on a date apparently propitiated by Kate Middleton, who became a peacemaker for this family conflict, and after the queen's recommendation that they solve the problems.
Of the conclusions of the conclave there is no news, since the assistants made a pact of silence. This meeting was the first they had after Enrique affirmed that his father and his brother are "trapped in the system", during the interview between him and his wife, Meghan Markle, with Oprah Winfrey.
