William and Harry: the confrontation of the British princes sons of Lady Di
The children of the late Diana of Wales met again this Thursday 1 after several months of estrangement, not only physical, at an event in London in honor of her mother. Here we recall their last disagreements.
It took 14 months of not seeing each other for British princes William and Harry to come face to face. It was in April, at the farewell to his grandfather, Felipe de Edimburgo. And this Thursday, despite remaining estranged, they were forced to coincide, this time in an honorific event for their mother.

"El PaÃs" notes that, to avoid any inconvenience during said ceremony (held on April 17), Queen Elizabeth II ordered certain measures to be taken. Thus, for example, "the brothers did not walk shoulder to shoulder behind the coffin", but, in the middle, was their cousin Peter Philips.
"The children of Diana of Wales and Carlos of England [...] have publicly affirmed that, although they continue to love each other, they do not maintain contact and they do maintain many differences", notes "El PaÃs".
What happened?
According to Vanity Fair, William would not have "forgiven his younger brother for the way he announced that he and Meghan Markle" were breaking away from royalty. Likewise, he would be outraged by the statements that both he and his wife gave to Oprah Winfrey.
To this should be added what Tom Bradby, a friend of the former Sussex duke, declared in 2019: "There is a lot of pain and many unsolved problems between the boys and no one to help mediate."
According to the Informalia website, the disagreements between the brothers were “more and more numerous” and these were due to “small misunderstandings”.
"Small complaints can turn into big conflicts between the different royal offices if they are not handled correctly, and that is exactly what is happening now," he said.
A FUNERAL AND A FIGHT
The Huffington Post recalls that the historian Robert Lacey - author of the book "Battle of Brothers" - declared to the Daily Mail that, on the day of his grandfather's funeral and when they entered Windsor Castle, William and Harry fought again.
“They threw themselves around each other's necks, as fiercely as ever. The rage and anger between the two has grown very deep. Too many harsh and hurtful things have been said, ”he says.
In addition, Lacey notes that "there was neither reconciliation nor brotherly talk" that day.
But none of that was caught on camera.
And today the faces were seen again to unveil a statue that shows her mother, Princess Diana, surrounded by three children, a way to celebrate what would have been Lady Di's 60th birthday.
Only the memory of their mother could bring them back together, although it is not known if they have already smoothed out all their rough edges.
According to the AP news agency, both made a "joint statement" in which they spoke of her mother and hers "qualities of her that made her a force for good throughout the world."
“Every day, we wish that she was still with us, and our hope is that this statue will forever be seen as a symbol of her life and her legacy,” they said after the ceremony held in the Sunken Garden of the Palace of Kensington London.
Regarding the relationship, "Chicago Tribune" quotes Robert Lacey again: for him, it will take a long time for them to become friends again because what distances them are beliefs that, today, are opposed: "William defends the monarchy and Harry defends his wife ”, writes the medium.
“It's a question of love versus duty, with William representing duty and the concept of monarchy as he sees it. And then from Harry's point of view, love and loyalty to his wife, ”Lacey said.
