Justin Bieber is accused of cultural appropriation after posting his latest haircut on Instagram
- Justin Bieber's new dreadlocks have not liked everyone
- Some users denounce the singer on Instagram for cultural appropriation
- The Canadian artist has been accused before of having little 'racial sensitivity'
Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber has returned to star in another controversy on social networks after posting a photo in which he can be seen with a new hairstyle whose dreadlocks have received accusations of cultural appropriation.
Dreadlocks have traditionally been related to African American culture and black people. By incorporating this type of hairstyle to his new look, the singer has received criticism for his lack of respect and sensitivity to these cultures.
Listen @justinbieber I don’t care how long I’ve liked you, this is cultural appropriation and I don’t like it. As a black woman, this is totally offensive and disrespectful. Cut your hair or fix it, the fact that it is 2021 and people are still appropriating black people is gross

On social networks, many have criticized the singer's new style and have encouraged him to change it and ask for forgiveness as soon as possible. However, his most unconditional followers have continued to defend him, assuring him that his hair looks good and that he does not have to ask for forgiveness.
The latest controversy in Justin Bieber's controversial career
The latest criticism received is nothing more than the last episode of the controversies in which the singer is usually involved. Bieber has been accused on other occasions of racial or ethnic insensitivity.
In 2014, Bieber starred in a scandal after a video came to light in which the artist can be seen making a racist joke. The artist, who used the word 'black' with negative denotations in the Anglo-Saxon world, apologized and the incident was eventually forgotten.
The latest record work released by Justin Bieber includes part of a speech by Martin Luther King in which he seems to be a gesture towards the African-American community. Although this publication also raised some suspicions, Bernice King, daughter of the historic activist, tweeted her approval after listening to Bieber's album.
I know that I can't just solve injustice by making music, but I do know that if we all do our part by using our gifts to serve this planet and others, we will be much closer to being united.
Before the publication of the album, the artist assured that through music it is not possible to change everything completely but that it is possible to lead to greater awareness to achieve a more just and egalitarian society.
While he is one of the most controversial, Bieber is not the only American singer accused of cultural appropriation. Other artists or celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have also starred in controversy for controversial changes in appearance.
