'No time to die': This has been the end of Daniel Craig as James Bond

Daniel Craig has said goodbye to the most important role of his career: James Bond. The actor debuted as the famous agent 007 in 2006 with Casino Royale and, after three more installments -Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012) and Specter (2015) -, he has closed his stage as the MI6 spy with Timeless to die. The film, released this weekend in Spain and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, has put the finishing touch to Craig's stage as James Bond. Do you want to know how it all ended? Keep reading!

When No Time to Die begins, Bond has retired and leads a quiet life with Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), but everything falls apart when the protagonist is led to believe that his partner betrayed him. The two do not meet again until five years pass, after discovering that it was Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Christopher Walken) who orchestrated everything.

In their reunion, Bond discovers that Madeleine has a daughter named Mathilde and that he is her father. But again, happiness is not made for Bond and the villain Safin (Rami Malek) kidnaps Madeleine and Mathilde and the protagonist must return to action to save them.

In turn, the agent must destroy a very dangerous and lethal virus called Heracles. Anyone can carry the virus, but it is programmed to end only the life of a specific person. For this, it is only necessary for the bearer to approach the victim.

Bond manages to save Madeleine and Mathilde with the help of the new 007 Nomi (Lashana Lynch), but when he enters Safin's base of operations to destroy the virus, things get complicated. The villain manages to cut Bond with a vial and that implies that if the protagonist gets too close to his daughter or Madeleine, he will kill them.

The former MI6 agent is aware that he can never see them again and, despite being mortally wounded, manages to knock down Safin and open the armored doors of his base of operations. Thanks to this, the villain's facilities are destroyed with the help of missiles, but these also kill Bond.

What does that end mean? Well, No Time to Die is the first film in the James Bond saga in which its protagonist dies. What does this mean for the future of the franchise? There is nothing confirmed, but the possibilities for the next installments of the saga are several. On the one hand, they may sign another actor to play a new James Bond. Just as it has been doing until now. On the other, they decide to make Lashana Lynch the new protagonist of the saga. What idea do you like the most?

The film also has Ana de Armas, Jeffrey Wright, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris in its cast. On these lines, don't miss the trailer for No Time to Die.
