Will Smith reveals the complicated relationship with his eldest son: "We have been fighting for years"

Trey just turned 26 and is the oldest of Will Smith's three children. He is much less well known and has a less public profile than those of his well-known stepbrothers, Jaden - 20 years old, actor and rapper - and Willow - singer and actress, who came of age in October -, the result of the marriage of Will Smith with actress and businesswoman Jada Pinkett Smith, 47, whom he married in 1997. And, as it has now been revealed, he has a much more complex relationship with his father.
The young man appears in a video with his father, content that both have posted on their Instagram profiles. In the caption, the 50-year-old actor explains the difficulties he has gone through with his eldest son. With Trey leaning on the actor's shoulder, smiling affectionately together at the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix that took place last weekend (the last one Fernando Alonso raced), Smith explains: It has always been that way between Trey and me. We have struggled for years after my divorce from his mother. He felt betrayed and abandoned. It is an incredible blessing to recover and restore this precious relationship with my beautiful son. "
Smith refers to his separation from Sheree Zampino, who was his wife between 1992 and 1995. Then they divorced and the actor married, two years later, with the one who is still his partner, Jada Pinkett. The two maintain a good relationship with Zampino; In fact, a few days ago she was turning 51 and he did not want to stop congratulating her publicly by posting a photo on his Instagram account where they are seen both, very young, with a little Trey in their arms: "Happy birthday, Sheree. In the video that Smith has now posted, he is seen talking to the camera in a bathrobe but a series of images are also seen with Trey at races and at other times in his childhood.
