This week Esquire magazine presented its annual issue where it chooses the sexiest woman alive in the world. This year the award went to Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, who snatched the crown from Scarlett Johansson's hands. The American blonde held that same cap in 2013.
In general, the reasons given by the magazine for choosing the sexiest person of the year are somewhat elusive and refer to situations that border on the professional and personal. Physical beauty, although it is never ruled out, that is evident, in general it moves more on the side of the consolidation of the chosen one as a figure in the media universe, a professional and personal balance, where it has an armed life outside of the stages.
Clearly, this case is not exceptional. Cruz is already one of the best-viewed actresses on the film scene, she is not particularly striking in her media appearances and has a more than satisfactory personal life, with Javier Bardem as her stable partner with whom she has two sons.
