The day Leonardo DiCaprio survived a shark
It happened in 2006, when he was trapped in a cage with one of these animals
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio came to introduce his new movie, "The Wolf of Wall Street," to the Ellen DeGeneres Show. It was during the conversation that DiCaprio explained that he nearly died from a great white shark in 2006.
"I was terribly afraid of sharks, and when I was shooting 'Blood Diamonds' in 2006, I was trapped in a cage with a white one, which was incredible," he explained. «It was a gigantic white shark. Actually, they told me that, in 30 years, this had never happened, but some kind of tuna got stuck on top of the cage and the white shark jumped up and tried to bite it and that made it go into the cage with me. " he added.
"Half of his body was inside and the other was outside and I stuck to the bottom, still he bit me a couple of times, but I survived," said the actor. At the time of the event, DiCaprio was a guest on a diving expedition organized by an association dedicated to the protection of animals and the environment.
