The shocking (and tragic) story of Keanu Reeves
Keanu Reeves is an actor surrounded by popular myths of the most disparate: he is immortal, one of the nicest actors in Hollywood and has not had an easy life. For the past week, an open letter supposedly signed by the Matrix actor has circulated online. Although he has not confirmed or denied it, the truth is that the text seems to have been written by someone else. “A lot of people know me, but they don't know my story. When I was 3 years old, I saw my father leave. I went to four different institutes and struggled with my dyslexia, making my education more difficult. At 23, my closest friend, River Phoenix, died of a drug overdose. In 1998 I met Jennifer Syme. We were devastated by the loss and this ended our relationship. 18 months later, Jennifer died in a car accident. Since then I avoid serious relationships and having children.
My little sister had leukemia. Today she is cured and I donated 70% of my earnings from the Matrix to hospitals that treat that disease. I'm the only Hollywood star without a mansion. I don't have bodyguards and I don't wear expensive clothes. Even though I'm valued at $ 100 million, I still ride the subway and love it! In the end, I think we can all agree that even in tragedy, a person can prosper. No matter what's going on in your life, you can get over it! Life is worth living. "
