Trapped (Break Up, 1998)

Shortly after, she will realize that her husband, still alive, has framed her.

We have to accept that family is always an issue in relationships, but right in this movie it really is a nightmare. Greg Focker will have to meet the family of his girlfriend without knowing that his father-in-law is a retired ex-agent, jealous of his daughter.
Infidelity (Unfaithful, 2002)
Many people really believe that infidelity is a great reason to cut a person out of their life. But there are people who know perfectly about their infidelities and although they never end their relationships they do not talk about it, as an open secret.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 2004
This unforgettable couple decides to undergo a procedure that erases their memories of the other, but life takes many turns and they meet again only to realize that they are still in love.
500 Days with Her (500 Days of Summer, 2009)

However, maybe that relationship wasn't meant to be and it was just an episode in the two of their lives, something Tom won't be able to forget and let go of so easily.
Sad Valentine (Blue Valentine, 2010)
As the wise grannies and this movie say, relationships are for two and when one no longer does anything to build, perhaps it is better to let it go, no matter how many years you have been with your partner or no matter how much you have multiple experiences with that person.
