12 Celebrities Who Have Or Have Uncommon Pets
For most of us, a pet is usually a dog, a cat, or even a rabbit, as they are easy to keep at home, take care of, and walk around. But for celebrities, used to leading a life out of the ordinary, they can afford certain eccentricities when choosing a faithful friend. There are those who have had a lemur, a wallaby and even alpacas.
Bright Side made a list of those artists or singers who cared for an exotic animal at home.
1. Mike Tyson and his Bengal tiger “Kenya”
Although he now explains that he only has dogs at home, boxer Mike Tyson sparked controversy in the late 1980s after purchasing a Bengal tiger as a pet. Kenya, as the animal was called, was acquired while the athlete was serving a sentence in prison for the rape of a young model. After 16 years with the exotic animal, Tyson was forced to sell it for several reasons, among which are classified his old age and loss of vision, as well as having ripped off a person's arm, according to who its owner explained.

The comedy actress in the 80s, famous for the film Look Who's Talking or the series Veronica's Secrets, is an animal lover and currently herds 14 lemurs. Kirstie became interested in these primates because of the conservation issue of Madagascar, according to her spokeswoman in an interview. However, she herself has confessed (for the same interview) that she does not recommend them as a pet, since they are of great responsibility, live for about 30 years and must maintain an organic diet.

It was the year 2005, when the socialite, businesswoman, model and actress Paris Hilton adopted a kinkaju, a mammal related to the raccoon. The animal, baptized as "Baby Luv", brought serious problems to Hilton, because in Los Angeles (where she resides) it is illegal to keep or breed non-native species. In addition, the young woman had to be hospitalized several times to receive a vaccine after "Baby Luv" bit her arm.
4. George Clooney and his pig "Max"
The actor had a 300-pound (136-kilogram) pig named Max who lived for 18 years. They were very good friends and Clooney always remembers him fondly. Even the animal was so important that it slept next to him.

Rapper Robert Matthew Van Winkle, better known as Vanilla Ice, had a ualarú named "Bucky Buckaroo" for 14 years. This is a different species from the kangaroo because of its size, habitat, and behavior. In fact, it is the result of the cross between a wallaby and a kangaroo.
The mischievous animal ran away from home together with the goat that the artist also had and it took two weeks to find them.
6. Nicole Kidman and her alpacas
Nicole Kidman and her husband, singer Keith Urban, bought four alpacas in 2009. The couple share a mansion in Australia, where the mammals remain with several horses and other animals.
7. Justin Bieber and his capuchin monkey "Mally"
Canadian singer Justin Bieber received on his 19th birthday a very special gift, a 14-week-old capuchin monkey that he named Mally. However, when the young man traveled to Germany to give a concert, the pet was confiscated for not having the documents and vaccinations required for his admission. Mally was then in an animal shelter and the singer did not deliver the necessary papers to get her back. Currently, the monkey is found in the Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen, northern Germany.

The Beverly Hills 90210 actress had a bantam chicken that she wore in vintage outfits, but it wasn't her only quirky pet, as she owned a goat named "Totes McGoat" and a pig named "Hank." The young woman she explained in an interview that she liked to say that "Coco" was a pocket chicken, because she liked to be carried.
9. Reese Witherspoon and hers donkeys hers "Honky" and "Tonky"
In 2010, actress Reese Witherspoon confessed on the Ellen DeGeneres show that she had two donkeys on her great pet list, plus two pigs, three goats, 20 chickens, and a few dogs. In conversation she said that she would love to have many more animals to take care of her.

11. Hugh Hefner and he calls her "Lambert"
Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner once owned multiple animals at the famous bunny mansion, including a llama named Lambert.
12. Dominic Monaghan and the spiders
The Lord of the Rings and Lost actor has a fondness for insects, particularly spiders, ants and the mantis. The young man hosted a documentary television program called Bichos, where he met countless animals. At his house in Los Angeles, he is accompanied by a spider, a snake and 3 lizards.
13. Ice T and his baby sharks
Rapper Ice T must be the most eccentric on the list, after he remodeled his mansion in 1994, which included a tank for baby sharks. Both he and his wife Coco Austin are fans of these creatures.
In 2018, the artists and their daughter Chanel Nicole (2 years old) traveled to the Bahamas, where Coco and the little girl dived into the water to swim with sharks. The controversy was great and, luckily, nothing bad happened.
14. Martha Stewart, chinchillas and other animals
Martha Stewart is an American businesswoman and television host known for her cooking show The Martha Stewart Show. The woman is a fan of animals and this is how she demonstrated it on her blog by making a count of the pets that she once had, among which 15 chinchillas stand out. In addition, the famous cook has a corral where she raises chickens, sheep, ducks and donkeys.
15. Elsa Pataky and her sow "Tina"
