But for celebrities, used to leading a life out of the ordinary, they can afford certain eccentricities when choosing a faithful friend. There are those who have had a lemur, a wallaby and even alpacas.


Bright Side made a list of those artists or singers who cared for an exotic animal at home.


1. Mike Tyson and his Bengal tiger “Kenya”

Although he now explains that he only has dogs at home, boxer Mike Tyson sparked controversy in the late 1980s after purchasing a Bengal tiger as a pet. Kenya, as the animal was called, was acquired while the athlete was serving a sentence in prison for the rape of a young model. After 16 years with the exotic animal, Tyson was forced to sell it for several reasons, among which are classified his old age and loss of vision, as well as having ripped off a person's arm, according to who its owner explained.


2. Kirstie Alley and her lemurs

The comedy actress in the 80s, famous for the film Look Who's Talking or the series Veronica's Secrets, is an animal lover and currently herds 14 lemurs.
