Miley Cyrus defies ‘gram gods’ as she poses in sheer vest and it’s a powerful mood
Miley Cyrus is playing with fire in the pit of Instagram, as she defied the so-called ‘gram gods’ by freeing the nipple this week.
The star is often flouting the strict rules of the social media platform, where female nips are shunned but male ones are apparently totally fine.
Feeling herself somewhat on Tuesday, the Slide Away singer donned a sheer vest to give the internet what for.
As she showed off in her bathroom mirror, Miley took a series of selfies before making good use of her camera’s self-timer for some al fresco photos.
The range.
Joking she was ‘getting more basic’ as time went on, the star proclaimed her love of a selfie or six.
‘I’m getting more basic by the day. The only thing the “new me” loves more than a mirror selfie is a self timed one,’ she wrote in the caption.
Seemingly having been warned by the powers that be at Instagram that she had broken a rule with her so-totally-ever-offensive nipples, she added: ‘PS this is getting removed soon! I’ve been warned by the gram gods !’
13 hours later, those photos are still shining. Either Instagram has gone soft on its once-tough rules, or Miley is one powerful flouter.
Perhaps both?
It comes after Miley was forced to defend her controversial comments claiming ‘you don’t have to be gay’ after she was slammed on Monday.
While praising her new boyfriend Cody Simpson, she was seen to be hitting out at her marriage to Liam Hemsworth, while also slamming her relationship with Kaitlynn Carter.
Explaining why it took her so long to start dating Cody despite knowing each other for years, Miley said: ‘I was being a little too hardcore for him and his vibes and not allowing anyone in but now I am.’
Appearing to take a swipe at her estranged husband Liam, the popstar continued: ‘There are good people out there that just happen to have d**ks. I’ve only ever met one, and he’s on this live.’
Addressing her sexuality, Miley added: ‘There are good men out there guys, don’t give up.
‘You don’t have to be gay, there are good people with d**ks out there, you’ve just got to find them.’
She added: ‘I just always thought I had to be gay because all guys were evil but it’s not true.’
Punters took to social media to slam the star, calling her comments ‘problematic’. After facing backlash the singer has explained what she was intending to get across.
